Position Vacancy – Adjunct Instructor
Adjunct Instructor to teach course EDUC 808 The Study of Children in Diverse and Inclusive Educational Settings Through Observation and Recording; during the spring semester 2014. Class will meet Tuesdays 4:45-6:45pm for 14 sessions. There are 9.5 additional instructional hours to be scheduled by course instructor.
This course is designed to provide students with a variety of observational approaches and recording techniques as basic assessment tools to increase their understanding of and skill in planning for children in the classroom. Emphasis is placed on a growing sensitivity to what is ‘subjective’ and what attempts to be ‘objective’ observation. Responsibilities include planning, teaching and evaluating graduate students’ work.
- Experience as a classroom teacher and extensive knowledge of child development
- Experience teaching adults and evaluating their work
- Doctorate preferred, Masters required

Salary: Adjunct Rate
