Position Vacancy – Per Diem Pre-School Substitute Teacher, Bank Street Head Start

The Per Diem Pre-School Substitute Teacher works in a Bank Street Head Start classroom with a group of from 13-20 three and four year old children. Supports the teacher in all aspects of classroom operation including:

  • Implementing curriculum activities
  • Coordinating meal service
  • Monitoring the safety and behavior of children
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and order of the classroom

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience in a pre-school setting
  • College level credits in early childhood education or special education
  • Current Physical including TB test
  • Finger printing (Department of Investigation) and NYS Data Base check clearance must be completed prior to first work day.

Start Date:        Immediately

Salary:            Hourly Rate; commensurate with experience
