Math, Science, & Technology
Robotics 1
6/7s & Up : Walter Hunte NEW
Using PicoCricket Legos we will be making artistic creations with lights, sound, music and motion. Our goal is to engage children in exploring, experimenting, designing, and creating. We organize the room in the spirit of an artist's studio or inventor's workshop, with art supplies, LEGO bricks, and other craft materials. We choose a theme that provides students with a common focus, but also inspires diversity of projects. As students work on projects, they may shift back and forth between building, programming, and sharing ideas with one another. This could be viewed as a precursor to the LEGO Mindstorm robotic system. 11 Sessions.
