March 6 - Magic and Magnets Instructor: Harley Spiller, Museum Educator.
Experience firsthand the science behind magnetism. Learn a variety of magic tricks and make your own fridge magnets.

March 13 – Energy Instructor: Stephen Gould, PHD. Chemistry, Cornell University.
What is energy? What forms does it take? We'll look at how different forms of energy can be changed to another. We'll learn how electricity is made, look at the simplest motor, look at how chemical energy can give rise to light--and much, much more.

April 3 - Paper Play Instructor: Stephen Gould, PHD.
Learn how paper is made and how the process of making it can affect how the paper behaves. Look at a few unusual types of paper. Learn some paper tricks and make some paper novelties.

Learn the sciences of geography and cartography. Handle a collection of extraordinary and unusual maps. Design your own new style map.

Apr 24 - Toy Science Instructor: Dr.Stephen Gould.
Look and play with a number of different types of science toys--mechanical, chemical, optical and balancing toys. Learn an amazing balancing trick. Make a take-home novelty illustrating how energy can be stored.

May 1 - More Fabulous Fish Instructor: Dr. Merryl Kafka.
We will explore further the world of fish. We’ll do a fish dissection along with kinesthetic activities such as art, song, dance and crafts will help to reinforce the behavior and biology of fishes.

May 22 - Awesome Adaptation Instructor: Harley Spiller. Museum Educator.
See and taste an amazing collection of natural salts – white, black, red, grey and more from all across the planet’s seas. Make a salt lava lamp, create your own salt blends, and learn what’s really inside those little packets you get at the deli (Hint: It’s not just salt!
