Nelly Agron - Hand Sewing & Jewelry Making.  Nelly is a designer and dressmaker. She has created costumes on Broadway and at the Juilliard School. She studied fashion at F.I.T. and Maison Sapho French School of Dressmaking and Designs, Inc.

Kelly Childress - Yoga.  An experienced and vibrant yoga teacher, Kelly is at home teaching a range of classes from slow and relaxing to fast and energizing for the different Ayurvedic dosha types. She combines a light-hearted approach and a love of movement with a deep understanding of physical alignment.

Anthony Cogswell, The Nature Company - Science. www.thenaturecompany.org Our mission is to provide exciting environmental education programs to elementary schools. Through a combination of live animal demonstrations, hands-on exploratory activities, music, and puppetry The Nature Company’s animal workshops will delight children.

Anneka Fagundes - Girls Leadership. Anneka Fagundes (Senior Educator, Girls Leadership Institute) is an Applied Theatre practitioner who can be found in schools and community spaces across NYC using the arts as a tool to help young people (and adults) tap into their innate power, passion and potential…especially girls.

Karin Ferber Hillman - Seido Karate. Karin studied Seido Karate for over 17 years with the grandmaster (and founder) Kaicho T. Nakamura. She has many years of experience teaching children dance, fitness, gymnastics, street awareness and karate. Karin is a third degree black belt champion and is an engaging instructor.

Ricky Forde - SporTime. Ricky is the head physical education teacher in the School for Children.

Callie Fray - Creative Movement, Hip Hop/Jazz. Callie Frey has been dancing for over 20 years, and has taught for six years. She graduated from Columbia College Chicago, with honors, in May 2012. She received a Bachelor of Arts, concentrating in Choreography and Performance. She grew up dancing with strong foundations in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and modern, and is now a freelance dance artist in New York City.

Conor Gillespie - Myths and Legends. For over a decade Conor has been teaching children theater, new games, trust workshops, and other team building exercises. Though his classes focus on noncompetitive play he has taught workshops on everything from myth-crafting and mask-work to stage magic and “Bubble-ology”. During the summer he helps run a theater camp which focuses on immersive storytelling.

Michael Grant - Minecraft. Michael teaches after school programming focused on creativity, teamwork and critical problem solving across a diverse range of schools in both New York City and the Mid-Hudson Valley.  An MLIS graduate, he has a passion for helping students develop informational literacy skills and encouraging self-directed learning.

Walter Hunte - Robotics. He has spent over 10 years as an HVAC mechanical system design engineer and has several years creating automated robotic fabrication and assembly systems.  Walter has been working with students at the Dalton After School program, H.E.A.F. (Harlem Education Activity Fund) and Bank Street instructing students in creating imaginative robotic creations using Pico Cricket and Lego Mindstorm.

Diana Jensen - Art and Stories.  Diana is the lower school art teacher. We are excited to have her teaching for us.

Howard Parker - Chess 1, 2 & 3/4.  Howard taught his son to play chess and he became the first U.S. Primary School National Champion. He then partnered with John W. Collins, the teacher of Bobby Fischer to organize championship teams of youngsters and play throughout the U.S., Iceland and Israel. He began working with Bank Street over twelve years ago and has developed a program that fosters a supportive environment. Children have fun while learning how to think using chess.

John Regis - Shakespeare.  John taught Shakespeare in after school for 21 years and is returning to do this again. John is the Bank Street School's Theatre teacher and he also directs the 13s play.

Maria Richa - Collage and Construction.  Maria is the middle school art teacher.

Laura Sametz - Shakespeare.  Laura is a parent and a professional actress.

Hagit Shalev - Origami.  Hagit Shalev is well known origami artist and an experienced origami teacher, the founder and director of Theragami - The N.Y. Educational Origami Center. She teaches Origami at the Museum of Natural History, and in public and private schools. She has lectured at the Museum of Natural History and at prestigious universities and notable forums. Her Origami creations were exhibited at the annual Museum of Natural History Christmas tree.

Katie Triest - Junior Ornithology Club.  Katie is a NYS Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator and work for the Wild Bird Fund, a non-profit wildlife rehabilitation and education center on the cities Upper West Side. She spends half of her time as an animal care manager in our wildlife hospital and the other half as the educational programming director directing the yearlong bird program for the Wild Bird Fund in NYC public schools in addition to still working at the WBF clinic.

Tre Vinson - Dribbl, head coach. Dalton Basketball Coach, Rodeph Sholom School Basketball Coach, Former D1 College Basketball Player.

Broadway Bound Kids - Stage Stars & Broadway Bound. www.broadwayboundkids.net The students in these workshops gain self-esteem as they learn to express themselves creatively and work as a team.

Coolinary Kitchen, Marika Hahn - Coolinary Creations.  Marika has catered for Columbia University's Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory and The Art Students League's Residential Program in Sparkill, NY. She is currently teaching cooking to teens and adults at The JCC Manhattan. Last summer Marika taught cooking to the children attending The 92nd Street Y Camps in Pearl River, NY.

Hobby Quest - Aviation. www.thehobbyquest.com  Our signature programs foster self-esteem and creative development while teaching hands-on skills in an exciting environment. Emphasizing fun and self-guid ed learning, we make sure that each student's quest is a unique and engaging journey.

Kate Tempesta's Urban Golf Academy - Golf. www.ktuga.com  Kate embraces the LPGA’s holistic view of the golfer as well as Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences. She takes into account individual learning styles, group dynamics and ability levels and knows how to make the most of every learning experience. Kate is a leading expert in the golf industry.

Mohr's Explorers. www.mohrs-explorers.com  Mike Mohr has helped develop and lead outdoor, adventure-based after-school programs in New York since 1998.

Roll America - Flag Football, Jr. Sports, Sports Sampler 1 - www.rollamerica.com  These weekly after school classes offers sport specific and multi-sport programs including, soccer, baseball, tennis and football to name a few.

Super Soccer Stars. www.supersoccerstars.com  All of our classes are non-competitive, using positive reinforcement to teach children soccer skills in a fun, engaging, educational environment.  We create a specific curriculum tailored to each school’s needs. Our unique age-specific curriculum is designed by a combination of early childhood, behavioral, and soccer specialists to ensure that each child is learning, improving their self-confidence, and having a blast from the moment the whistle blows.

Betsy Blachly - Beginning Guitar.  Betsy is the lower school music teacher.

Henry Chapin - Guitar 2.  Henry has a BA in Music Composition and Theory and an MA in Arts Administration. At age 10 Henry narrated Benjamin Britten's "Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra" with Lenard Bernstein and the NY Philharmonic on a Young People's concert. Henry began teaching music and guitar in 1979.

Tal Freiberg - Piano.  Tal was trained as a pianist and also as a classical Bass-Baritone singer at Telma Yelin School for the Arts in Tel-Aviv, where he graduated distinctively as a piano major.  He also graduated from the Jerusalem Rubin’s Academy and Mannes College of Music. Until lately, Tal has professionally performed at known venues here and abroad.

Eli Friedmann - Electric Guitar Group, Private Guitar.  Eli has been playing guitar for over 20 years and teaching professionally for 15 years! He is a coleader of the band Small Mutiples.

Jodie Levinson - Voice Lessons.  Jodie holds a BA from Skidmore College and has studied voice with coaches in and around Manhattan for many years. She currently works with the rock band and the 13s play.

Solange Prat - Voice Lessons.  Solange is a professionally trained singer from Argentina. She is the lead singer of the Williamsburg Salsa Orchestra.  She has extensive experience teaching, working in musical theater and performing live.

Eiichi Shimada - Piano.  A classical pianist, Eiichi Shimada, has performed as a recitalist, chamber musician and soloist with Orchestras, throughout the United States, Europe and Japan. He received his musical training in Tokyo, and later continued his studied in Vienna and New York. Eiichi has taught at Long Island Conservatory, the Mendigorria International Music Festival in Spain.

Andrea Guttman - Our Place, head teacher.  Andrea brings 35 years of involvement in alternative art education programs to Our Place. She has taught, designed, & administered art programs in museums, community centers and schools. Andrea's experience with diverse populations gives her a unique perspective for supporting a variety of learners.

Saima Fayyaz - Kids Club, head teacher.  Saima has been actively involved with Kids Club for the past 13 years. She mentored as an assistant to the previous Kids Club teacher and rose to head teacher after her retirement. She brings her enthusiasm for crafts and shares her love of cooking with the children. Saima has a quiet sensibility and compassion for the young children of Kids Club.
