We invite you to follow Fair is Not Equal (FiNE)—Bank Street’s first blog aimed at connecting and supporting you (educators!) around the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of your students.
As long time educators and faculty at Bank Street College, we created FiNE as a resource for sharing strategies, engaging in a collective inquiry process, and connecting to others. It is designed to provide you with intervention ideas to meet your immediate needs related to challenging behaviors, as well as frames of thinking to support the long-term development of your students’ emotional and behavioral growth.
Our primary goal is to provide you with a resource where you can explore questions with other educators about challenging behaviors in your classroom—a place where you can stop on your daily teaching travels and catch your breath, reflect, problem-solve, and continue on your journey. And we invite you to comment, ask questions, and help us continue to build a vital conversation.
