On Thursday, November 15, 2012, Roberta Berman, School for Children Woodworking Teacher for grades 1-8, presented at Blue School’s conference in NYC titled Teaching Innovation: Giving Children Responsibility for Their Learning and for Our World. Ms. Berman outlined the goals and methods of her fine arts approach in the woodworking studio using an interactive slide show from her upcoming multi-media book, The Art of Shop: Theory and Practices, Observations and Reflections, Including Emergent Conversations with Kids While Sculpting, which will be published on iTunes U by Bank Street College.
