Bank Street School for Children Supports Bead for Life

For the fifth consecutive year, the School for Children's Parents of Children of Color (POCOC) affinity group turned the Bank Street lobby into a vibrant marketplace for gorgeous, recycled paper beads and organic shea butter products handmade by Ugandan women.

Bead for Life is a socially responsible, global organization that works with HIV-positive mothers and refugees from the civil war in Northern Uganda to help lift - and keep - them and their families out of poverty.

This year, the School for Children raised over $5,000 for the Bead for Life organization.
