Differentiation involves a variety of instructional approaches and management systems to make knowledge, understanding, and skills accessible to all students. We will examine the Common Core Standards for your content area and build differentiated scaffolds to support students with diverse learning needs. Teachers will reflect on classroom processes and ongoing formative assessments as tools to increase student learning. This course will deepen teachers’ practices of differentiation and review management systems and routines for implementation.

This workshop is asynchronous. Participants work at times that suit them best; however, there will be firm weekly due dates for assignments. The course instructors will act both as a leaders and mentors by offering regular support, suggestions, and direction. Students should expect to spend 3-5 hours per week on coursework, except where noted.
