Integrating Art Experiences to Support Curriculum Goals TEWS738N
For over 35 years, Lincoln Center Education has been honing a distinctive approach that uses encounters with works of art to achieve curricular goals. In collaboration with Bank Street Educators, you will be introduced to the essential elements of this approach and how they play out in practice including: fostering academic conversations and models for how to build experiential lessons —teaching skills useful for any academic subject. Participants will develop specific capacities designed for problem solving and communication and learn how to incorporate these skills into the curriculum. The program format includes workshops with experienced teaching artists, a live performance, and opportunities to observe the approach with children in the Bank Street Summer Camp.
