Some of the Values that Shape My Work

There have been many values and beliefs that have shaped my work in public education over the past 40+ years.  They’ve developed as I’ve moved through my career serving as teacher, assistant principal, principal, deputy superintendent, and superintendent.  They focused on meeting the needs of children and their families, establishing a viable educational community, and promoting equity.  Now that I’ve moved into higher education, I find myself trying to instill these values and beliefs into the work I do with students in our leadership development programs.
