Norm Walker is the Interim Vice President for Finance at Bank Street. In that role, he facilitates the College’s efforts toward financial sustainability as well as accuracy and transparency in reporting. Norm is a longtime supporter of Bank Street, having served on the Board of Trustees for several years.
Previously, Norm served as Chief Financial Officer for the Diocese of Bridgeport. A retired partner from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, he specialized in national risk management, audit and business advisory services, and client engagements. He served as president at the PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Foundation, where he oversaw gifts, grants, and the matching gift program for 100 universities and colleges. Norm also hosted the annual PricewaterhouseCoopers Symposium for 75 distinguished accounting and auditing professors.
Norm has coauthored several publications on auditing practices and is a past chair of the Ethics Division Technical Standards at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In addition to his professional work, Norm served as a risk management advisor for AmeriCares and chaired the Board of the University of Oregon Foundation. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Oregon.
