Event Description

Are you considering transitioning into a career in education? Come to Bank Street on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for Becoming a Teacher: A Forum for Career Changers.  

The event will take place at Bank Street College Graduate School of Education and will start with sign-in and refreshments at 5:30 p.m. The evening continues with important information on what to expect as you consider starting this new journey:

Becoming a Teacher: What is involved?

• Gaining some experience
• Transferring your skills
• Certification

AND

• Panel discussion of alumni & current students: Meet the career changers
• Negotiating the career change
• What is it like to be a teacher?
• Why make the career change? 

The event is meant to be informative and engaging so that you may gather needed information and ask any questions about the profession.
