Event Description

Is your child scared of going to the Doctor? Planning a trip to the hospital and looking for a way to help you child cope with anxiety? Help is on the way!

Bring your teddy bear the the Teddy Bear Clinic for a story-time and hands-on activities that will give your child reassuring messages and empowering skills for dealing with medical troubles.

Come celebrate Child Life Month with child life specialist Kacie Wilson and other Bank Street College of Education graduate students. We will read books about going to the doctor, "play doctor" (where the child learns to care for a favorite toy); and explore ways to help children cope with medical visits. Don't forget to bring Teddy!
