The Career Services Office serves as a career resource and information center. Career Services are provided to alumni and to students matriculated in degree programs. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the variety of services the office has to offer at the beginning of their matriculation.
Services and resources include listings of current job openings, a reference book library, a collection of sample cover letters and résumés, and school directories. Résumé and interview skills workshops are offered throughout the year; check the schedule of upcoming events. Students are encouraged to meet with the director to discuss strategies to be used during the job search process, such as how to organize a job search, networking, and researching schools, institutions and agencies.

Are you interested in listing job openings with the Career Services Office? Employers are encouraged to go to the employer login page and click on "Click Here to Register". You may also review our Employer User Guide to help you navigate our new online automated job system. Created with you in mind, this new site provides participating employers with the ability to: Visit one centralized online location to post and manage an unlimited number of jobs, set parameters for your job openings, receive email reminders when a student applies for jobs and when a posting is about to expire, conduct a student search for qualified applicants, register online for career events like career fairs and much more!
All eligible students are encouraged to register with the Career Services Office and to maintain an updated reference file to be sent to prospective employers when applying for a position.
In addition, the Career Services Office hosts the following annual events: a Job Search Support Day, sessions include resume writing and interviewing skills workshops, tips on the job search process and certification information; and a Job Fair with representatives from many of the New York City Public and Independent Schools. Career Services often co-sponsors job related events with the Alumni Office. Bank Street graduates are innovative professional teachers and leaders who make wonderful contributions to the schools within which they work. Our graduates are in demand and are the reason Bank Street has the fine reputation it does.
Students and alumni who wish to contact other graduates for information on their career fields or geographic areas may request a list from the Career Services Office. This service is especially useful to those who wish to relocate outside the New York City area.
