SU-12.1: Summer Head Counselor. New Town Day Camp. 4’s class. Camp runs from June 27-August 16 from 8 am-1:30 pm. There is a staff orientation on June 19 at 5 pm. SU-12.2: Event Staff. L’Amusement! (A living working carnival of historic French carousels, rides, and games dating from the late 1800s to the 1950s.) Preference given to candidates with festival, circus, amusement park, theatrical, camp counselor, childcare, or teaching experience. Excellent communication skills and commitment to genuine customer service. Favorable consideration given to bilingual English-French speakers (not required). SU-12.3: Art Teachers and Teaching Artists. Seeking freelance art teachers and teaching artists to conduct art events for children or teens at such venues as libraries and private art events. SU-11.2: Summer Intern. Digital Content Start-Up. (A content/screen sharing website geared to providing interactive digital content to be shared by grandparents/other family members and young children ages 2-6.) Interest in educational media design, production and content for young children; willingness to conduct research and make selections of available, relevant content, and some computer based technical experience and expertise required. SU-11.3: Summer Internship. Camp Yomi. As One gym is a small private training gym in NYC. We were recently brought on to run the youth fitness program for Camp Yomi this summer, and we are looking for an intern to work with us who is interested in education and fitness. Transportation will be taken care of (leaving from various points in NYC) and lunch will be provided every day. There is a $500 bonus that we will be able to give at the end of the program. SU-11.5: Volunteers. Girls Inc. of NYC. Volunteers will work with girls at a summer program at The Urban Assembly Institute of Math and Science for Young Women in Downtown Brooklyn. The summer program will run Mon-Thurs, 8:30 am-4:30 pm. Volunteers can work in shifts from 8:30 am-12:00 pm and/or 12:00 pm-4:30 pm. Demonstrated interest in youth development, education, and/or gender equality; experience working with middle school students helpful but not required; must be willing to commit to at least one day a week for the 4-week period, starting July 8 and ending August 1. SU-11.6: Summer Media Camp Instructor: Animation and/or Video Game Design. Museum of the Moving Image, Astoria, NY. Undergraduate degree in related field; graduate degree preferred. SU-9.1: Public School Fundraising Educator. Morningside Area Alliance. Seeking a professional for a part time, short term opportunity to help launch an innovative new program with an established nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate has experience in community or family engagement, school administration, after school program fundraising, or events planning. SU-9.2: Intern. Early Childhood Language Program for Children . NYS-based foreign language program for children seeks a crackerjack intern to assist in all administrative and street team tasks, including branding and marketing, social media, teacher training, and client relations. Our mission is to train bilingual musicians and place them in preschools to teach children about foreign language and culture. Must be a college student or graduate; proficient in Word, Excel, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Hootsuite; knowledge of MailChimp and Photoshop is a+; comfortable with media technology; and knowledge of other languages is a+. SU-7.1: Teachers, Science Summer Camp. Teachers needed for science focused summer camp at Corlears School. Applicants must have experience working with the age group. Applicants enrolled in a Master’s program preferred, but will consider those enrolled in a B.A. education degree program with experience. Must be comfortable and/or interested in caring for and handling a variety of animals for our curriculum and be willing to get dirty with children exploring such things as soil and compost. Program runs for 6 weeks 6/24-

SU-7.2: PT Assistant Teacher. Manhattan Valley Mosaic Preschool of Art and Design. Assistant teacher needed for an 8-10 week pilot program that will run this summer starting May 20. The assistant teacher will work closely with the lead teacher to deliver and support an arts-integrated curriculum for 2s and 3s. Position is three 3-hur sessions per week plus a weekly meeting. Applicants must have or be working toward an early childhood education degree and have some experience working with 2 and 3 year olds. Pay is hourly and commensurate with training and experience. Master’s degree in education, recreation or related field with 3-5 years previous management or professional experience in such areas as teaching, scouts, camping, or recreation. 3-5 years of experience in increasingly responsible supervisory positions required. Experience with programming and administering programs that reflect the camp’s population is desirable. SU-7.5: Male Tutor needed to speak Spanish with a 6 year old boy for 1-2 hours 5 days a week end of June. We are looking for someone who is fun, sporty, and energetic to just have fun with him. SU-5.1: Camp Counselor. JCP Early Childhood Center. Experienced counselors for a downtown Jewish Summer Camp needed for children ages 2.5 to 5 years. SU-2.1: Volunteer Summer Camp Counselors. Muscular Dystrophy Association. Counselors must be physically able to lift a young person between the ages of 6 and 17. Each counselor is assigned to serve as a companion for a camper who’s affected by a neuromuscular disease. SU-2.2: Mother’s Helper (Live-in or Live-out) needed for July and August in Water Mill, NY for two boys ages 7 and 4. Hours are flexible as both boys will be in camp from 8 am to 4 pm. Occasional night coverage will be needed if you are not living-in. Lodging will be provided if necessary for the months of July and August.
