About Us

The Digital Media and Learning group helps people innovate and experiment with digital media. We produce digitial content, offer teaching & learning support for academic technology projects, organize event services and provide equipment for classrooms. We promote a model of technology use that is learner-centerd, environmentally responsible and economically sustainable. We offer equipment reservations and support services for classroom technologies (interactive boards, projectors, speakers, laptops, mobile carts, etc.). Please complete this form to make a request from classroom support technologies: AV Request Form.You need to be logged in to your Bank Street email to complete the form. 

AV Policies and Service Hours:

  • AV provides instructional support Monday-Friday 8-9:45 and Saturday 9-5
  • AV staff requires 24 hours notice for support requests. If you need service outside of regular hours, please submit your request five business days prior to your class.

We offer a variety of event services, including high fidelity microphones, wireless microphones, front and rear projection, full media services (computer set-up with audio, CDs, DVDs, etc), theatrical lighting, flexible configuration and direct audio/video feed to the lobby (from auditorium). Once you have reserved the space through Room Reservations (roomreservation@bankstreet.edu), please contact audiovisual@bankstreet.edu for rate and service information. Allow at least two weeks prior to the event for planning. Please complete the form online.

We provide support for both teaching and learning technologies. We help faculty use technology to deliver content, share resources and develop learner-driven experiences. Faculty who are interested in using any of the College’s online or classroom technologies to support teaching and learning can attend scheduled workshops or schedule a one-to-one development session. Students who are interested in learning more about the available technologies at Bank Street can schedule small group workshops. The minimum group size for a workshop is four students. These workshops can also take place during class hours for whole-class instruction with prior approval of the course instructor. The Digital Play and Innovation Lab (DiPli*) will open in Fall of 2012. We will explore the role of digital play in learning and provide hands-on experiences for members of the Bank Street Community to play and learn together.

We are offering a free online course in Google's new Course Builder. Come join us and learn how to teach online using Google tools. The course starts on October 22, 2012 and will run for four weeks.
