Summer Program Options
for students enrolled in the Liberty LEADS Program

5th and 6th grades: Science in the City
Our science / math summer camp helps our youngest scholars build and develop their math and science skills while working on hands-on educational activities. Using the classroom as a starting point, students engage in New York City-based field trips that help to expand their knowledge of the city as a science classroom.

7th and 8th grades: Adventure in the City
This summer camp builds group cohesiveness and strengthens our students’ ability to set goals. Students engage in challenges including a ropes course, cooperative learning activities and group problem-solving expeditions. Students have fun working together as a group, learning and growing together, using New York City as their playground

9th, 10th, and 11th grades: Summer Exploration
Students participate in one of the following:
- a summer college or academic program,
- a leadership program
- a travel / study abroad program
- a community service program
- a summer internship.
Most programs have a strong academic foundation, offer opportunities to explore career and personal interests, and provide experiences that allow students to take risks and accept challenges.
