Alumni Library Privileges
Alumni may borrow up to 15 items at a time with an alumni library card, and can request items from other libraries through interlibrary loan for a charge of $2.00 per item.
Access to Databases
The library is unable to offer database access to alumni off-site because of licensing agreements. However, alumni are more than welcome to use them in the library. In addition, we suggest exploring your public library's database subscriptions, for example The New York Public Library subscribes to ERIC and Academic Search Premier, as well as hundreds of others.
Alumni Library Card
To get an alumni library card please come to the library with:
- a photo ID
- any document verifying your current address.
We will confirm that you are a graduate, and issue you a card. If you have moved away from the city, please contact reference librarian Carol Van Houten 212-875-4456 for help obtaining an alumni card.
Reference Help
The Library is happy to assist you with email or telephone reference questions. We can also direct you to a public library in your new neighborhood.
