Databases FAQ

Which Database Should I Use?

This is a question students frequently ask. Depending how much time you have here are two different answers.

Quick Search

Try Omnifile Full Text Select, (formerly known as Wilson Select Plus or WSP). This database is all full text, no matter what you type into a search box you will find something to read.

Full Search

Try using the following databases:

  1. Academic Search Premier
  2. ERIC
  3. ProQuest
  4. Education Research Complete
  5. Professional Development Collection

I Have a Citation, But I Don't Know Which Database to Use

The Library's Find A Journal feature (sometimes called Journal Finder) is the right tool to use for identifying an appropriate database. Check to see that the database you selected has the correct date range. Find a Journal will also tell you if the Library has a print copy.
