Sustainable Funding

SustainableGoal Statement:

To establish a Technology Fund in order to support the increasing need for technology access, training and infrastructure in the School for Children.

Rationale:

In order to increase the meaningful use of technology in classrooms, students and faculty must have access to developmentally appropriate tools that facilitate innovation. Teachers must have opportunities to expand their teaching practices to include new technologies. This will allow teachers to prepare students for the world beyond Bank Street.

Implementation Strategies:

  • Ensure sustainable funding options for classroom specific technology equipment, professional development and resources.
  • Identify and cultivate potential donors who are interested in supporting technology initiatives in the School for Children.
  • Investigate grant opportunities and foundation funding as a source of support for technology initiatives in conjunction with institutional goals.
