Upcoming Meetings and Events

Please see the Calendar for a complete list of event/meeting dates and times.

Join us this Friday for a special event for children and adults of all ages! Kaleidoscope: Stories of Diversity, Community and Family – a special storytelling and music event!
Friday, November 30, 5:15pm potluck in the Lobby and 6-7pm storytelling/music in the Auditorium

You’ve seen the posters for this fun, family-focused evening of food, storytelling and music highlighting the themes of family, community and diversity.  We are really excited to bring gifted storyteller April Armstrong to Bank Street for this event, which is being jointly sponsored by three Bank Street affinity groups: Touched by Adoption, Parents of Children of Color, and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Allies, with generous support from the Parents Association and the Office of Diversity and Community.
We still really, really need volunteers to help with set up and clean up – as well as contributions for the potluck.  Please contact Anshu Wahi at awahi@bankstreet.edu if you would like to volunteer.
It’s going to be an amazing evening!  Don’t miss out!

Spring Benefit Auction Kick-Off Party
Tuesday, December 4, 6-7:30 pm at the home of Margot Steinberg and Stan Harrison 500 West End Ave, 11H (at 84th Street)

We are gearing up for the Spring Benefit Auction, our community-wide fundraiser that takes place on May 2. Last year, we raised over $200,000 for the School for Children and Family Center.  We can't thank you enough for your support!

At the party, we will discuss preliminary plans for the event, and have opportunities for parents to sign up to volunteer to help. We need assistance with ticket sales, item solicitation, proofreading, set up the morning of the event, writing descriptions, finding pictures for items, and so much more. Please RSVP to Margot Steinberg at margotsteinberg1@me.com so we can have an accurate head count.  If you would like to bring a dish, please let us know.
