As a reminder, school will be closed all day on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
Staffing News
From January through June, Jeff Kulick, the Middle School Assistant, will be taking a temporary leave of absence while he does his Bank Street Graduate School student teaching full-time off campus. We are currently conducting a search for his replacement, who will start sometime in December so as to allow time for adequate training.

Award-winning author Marissa Moss, author of the Amelia’s Notebook series will be reading and signing copies of her latest grade school novel, Mira's Diary: Lost in Paris on Thursday, November 8. Dav Pilkey will be signing copies of his hit book series, including copies of his latest book Captain Underpants and the Terrifying Return of Tippy Tinkletrousers on Friday, November 9. POCOC kicked off the school year in September with a visit from Pedro Noguera - now it's time for us to come together again and make some plans for the rest of the school year! Children are welcome! Parents Association-Sponsored Family Film Night
Friday, November 16, 7pm in the Auditorium
We are kicking off the first Film Night of the school year with the fun and zany Marx Brother comedy, Horse Feathers (1932; 68 minutes). Synopsis: Quincy Adams Wagstaff, the new president of Huxley College, hires bumblers Baravelli and Pinky to help his school win the big football game against rival Darwin College. For ages 8 and up. Come out and bring your friends and family!
Kaleidoscope: Stories of Diversity, Community and Family – a special storytelling and music event!
Friday, November 30, 5:15pm potluck in the Lobby and 6-7pm storytelling and music program in the Auditorium
Bank Street community members of all ages are invited to join us for Kaleidoscope: Stories of Diversity, Community and Family, a fun, family-centered program of storytelling and music highlighting themes that anchor, inspire and enrich our lives. We are especially excited to bring gifted storyteller April Armstrong to Bank Street for this event!
This event is being jointly sponsored by three Bank Street affinity groups: Touched by Adoption, Parents of Children of Color, and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Allies, with generous support from the Parents Association and the Office of Diversity and Community.
