In February 2021, the Bank Street Occasional Paper Series exceeded the mark of 100,000 downloads worldwide. First published in 1999, the scholarly publication promotes discussion about what it means to educate in a democracy while meeting the interrelated demands of equity and excellence. Today, the open access journal continues to fulfill its original intent: to remove barriers to accessing high-quality, peer-reviewed research in the field of education.
