Alicia Alvira has worked in early childhood education, including in public and private settings, since 2010. Most of her time has been spent working for non-profits on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood with a co-concentration in Human Resources from the City College of New York and a master’s degree in Early Childhood General and Special Education from Bank Street Graduate School. She is currently enrolled in Bank Street’s Progressive Leadership program. Outside of school, Alicia enjoys singing, reading, and caring for her many pets.
