Amanda Ariana De Leon has been a head teacher at Bank Street Head Start since 2022. Over the years, Amanda Ariana has worked in non-profit organizations on the Lower East Side, where she was born and raised. In 2016, Amanda received a bachelor’s degree in Early Child Education & Studio Art from Brooklyn College. Soon after, she earned her New York State Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood (Birth-2nd). From 2019-22, Amanda Ariana completed a master’s degree in Literacy Education from Hunter College. Amanda Ariana has taught children in UPK settings for several years and has experience working with first and second grade children. Outside of school, Amanda Ariana enjoys creating mixed-media art, attending Broadway shows, singing, and learning different styles of dance.
