Shantay Mobley

Shantay Mobley (she/her/hers) has held pivotal roles in the education sector, including Director of Algebra Success at The Urban Assembly, Academic Dean & Dean of School Culture at Achievement First Brownsville Middle School, and Dean of Instruction at Brownsville Ascend Middle School. With extensive experience in educational leadership, program development, and instructional coaching, Shantay has dedicated her career to driving significant improvements in student outcomes and teacher effectiveness in service of providing equitable opportunities for students. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a Minor in Spanish from Davidson College (her proud alma mater). Passionate about closing the opportunity gap, Shantay excels in developing strong team culture, developing culturally responsive and inclusive teaching practices, and fostering professional growth among educators. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing all kinds of games, listening to music, and much to everyone’s initial surprise, is an avid WWE fan.
