Wolama Barnes has been an assistant teacher at Bank Street Head Start since 2016. Wolama was a public school learning leader for many years. Wolama is passionate about helping children be creative and active in their own learning. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies from SUNY Empire State College and an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Hostos Community College.
